Dr. Joseph W.O.Findlay,
Jr is currently an adjunct professor of Communications at BOWIE
STATE UNIVERSITY, Maryland. He is a retired Senior Professional
Officer of the Department of Public Information, United Nations
Secretariat, New York. Prior to his service with the United
Nations, he was Director-General of Broadcasting in his native
counrty - Sierra Leone. He is widely traveled; writes prolifically
on Communications issues; and enjoys motivational speaking.
He is an alumnus of Pourah Bay College, University of Sierra
Leone, the University of Iowa; Cambridge University, England;
University of Munster, Nord Rhein, Westphalia, Germany and Pacific
Western University, Hawaii.
He was born in
Freetown, Sierra Leone, West Africa on 09 August 1935.
