Draft Survey Introduction

We stand in one of those pivotal moments in history when world events create an opportunity for things to move very quickly. While the focus for many is on security, the larger goal and desire of people the world over is to live in peace.

As with any lofty/worthwhile goal, it is important to know what the goal looks like and where we are in relationship to that goal in order to create or enhance strategies to achieve that goal. The research in exceptional human performance also reveals that relative to achieving things that seem impossible, how we think has an enormous impact on our ability to achieve our goal.

What follows is an early draft of a survey designed to reveal where people are in their thinking and understanding about what peace looks like, where we are in relationship to the realization of that goal and what people think about the possibility of living in peace.

The survey is divided into three areas
1-What do we mean by peace? How much do people care about peace?
2-What are the measures of peace and how do we stand relative to those measures them?
3-What can we do/ are we doing/next steps? /tracking
reporting & celebrating our progress.

Two closing activities will follow the survey:
1-A reflection question: “What will your life look like/ how will it be different when we live in a world at peace?”

2-Opportunities to contribute:
Send us your daily practices that you are aware of that assist people in being peaceful, bringing peace to their daily lives/their family, community, country or world.

Send us songs, music that embody the universal desire for peace.
